Aspen Leaf Challenge!

In celebration of planning to attend my very first NAN, I'm encouraging showing and spurring on that competitive spirit by holding a contest!

TIME FRAME: July 23, 2010 through June 26, 2011

DIVISIONS: There are two divisions: one division is finishwork by myself (horses painted w/ or w/o customizing on any sculptor's/manufacturer's body; and the second division is the sculpture work division (for resins sculpted by myself) If you've got a horse that is painted AND sculpted by me, it will be okay to "double enter" - you will not be limited to the one division.

RULES: Only owners of the pieces will be allowed to enter them.I'll be using a point system to determine the winners, and there will only be one winner per division. Points can only be earned at live shows.

I will be the one actually recording these points. All you need to do is send me the horse's name, which piece it is (i.e. the bay Rose Reiner or Rose Reiner #1), the show's name/date, and its placing. Fyi, first and second placings in classes won't count for points, but I'd still love to know of them! Pictures for our viewing pleasure would also be appreciated! You must remember to send me those point winnings though or I won't record them and you'll miss out on those points. One could make all the difference!

Halter entries only will win points. Peformance will not be included in this contest as there are so many other factors besides the horses that come into play.

POINT KEY:

1 Point - Division Res. Champion (i.e. Stock Res. Ch. or Light Breed Res. Ch.)
2 Points - Division Champion
3 Points - Overall Res. Champion (i.e. AR Res. Champ or Workmanship AR Res. Champ)
4 Points - Overall Champion
10 Points - NAN 2011 Top Ten placing
14 Points - NAN 2011 Res. Champion
15 Points - NAN 2011 Champion

PRIZES: What's a contest without prizes? :D

For the winner of the finishwork division, I'll be giving away a free Curio/SM scale solid color paint job. Winners will be allowed to upgrade to dapples/pattern options for extra $$ if they wish. Depending on my schedule at that point, I may even allow a scale upgrade as well for extra cash. You will need to provide the model, which must be a quality piece and may be subject to approval. It must also be in my hands within 30 days of the contest winner announcement.

The prize for the sculpture division will be a free unpainted resin - your choice of any of my currently available pieces at the time of contest winner announcement. You must "claim" your prize within 30 days.

If either of those division's 30 day periods are passed, prizes will be null and void.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
Remember that I will be more than happy to proxy your horses painted by me in breed/workmanship classes at NAN 2011!
